The iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management is a nationally recognised qualification covering all aspects of professional dog grooming, from practical styling skills through to salon business management and canine emergency first aid.
Unlike the City & Guilds pathway, there is no Level 2 pre-requisite, meaning you can enter the iPET Level 3 directly with no previous grooming experience. At D-O-G Grooming Studio you will be taught by an award-winning team of fully qualified teachers and assessors, led by a Master Groomer who is one of only 19 in the UK.
What does this course involve?
20 Days in Salon Training iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management (603/5945/6).
- No previous dog grooming experience or Level 2 is required to enter onto this course
- You will groom approximately 40 dogs during this course
- No theory exam, there are 3 practical assessments to demonstrate your skill
- 1:2 teacher to student ratio
- Course can be completed on either part-time or full time bases. You can do as little as 1 day per week or 6 days.
- No strict starting dates; our courses are run all year round

Course Length:
20 days Intensive hands on salon training grooming 2 dogs each day with a teacher’s guidance side by side
Aim:
- You will be trained in practical skills such as prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping, styling and nail trimming on a variety of dog breeds, using different grooming techniques
- The qualifications covers Health and Safety in a dog grooming environment
- You will learn how to promote the welfare of dogs conforming with relevant legislation
- You will learn how to asses and plan dog grooming styles and maintenance of equipment
- You will learn about canine behaviour, handling animals and about health checking
- You will learn about canine emergency First Aid
- You will learn how to plan the operation of small canine business
- Candidates are continually assessed via practical demonstration and coursework. There is no requirement to sit a formal exam in order to achieve the qualification.

You can achieve your diploma in the iPet Level 3 dog grooming and salon management course at either of our London salons, depending on which location suits you best:

- Wimbledon Park: 130 Arthur Road, SW19 8AA, London
All teachers are the same at both location and rotate between the two schools.

Assessment on the iPET Level 3 diploma is continuous throughout the course via practical demonstration and coursework, with 3 practical assessments and no formal theory exam to sit. You will groom approximately 40 dogs across 20 days of hands-on salon training, graduating with a qualification that reflects real, demonstrable ability in the salon. We will support you in building your grooming portfolio throughout, and after course mentoring is available once your training is complete. Payment plan and pay as you go options are available across both of our London locations.
